DESCRIPTION:Time to honor our Sweethearts with BIH’s February Driving Tour! — This year\, our Sweetheart Run falls on Valentine’s Day! As an extra special event\, we have invited and will be joined by members of the Hawaii Region\, coming over from the other islands to join in our special day! In addition\, our Zone Rep\, Gary Glover\, will be attending from Canada! \nWHERE and WHEN: We will gather once more beneath the beautiful\, blooming cherry tree blossoms at Church Row in Waimea and have our Safety Meeting\, sign the insurance waiver\, and then proceed Eastward out of town around 10:30 on Mamalahoa Highway past Honokaa on the Hamakua Coast\, Highway 19\, turning down to Laupahoehoe Point for a rest stop at the harbor by the boat ramp for some photo ops\, before continuing on the highway to our destination in Hilo\, overlooking Hilo Bay at the Hilo Bay Cafe on Banyan Drive around 12:30. \nLUNCH: It is important that we get a good count of people joining us at the restaurant so we can reserve the proper amount of space for our group. \nThis is a Multi Region\, Two-Activity Event for the 2 Hawaii Regions. It is actually the 11th time we have held this event\, since the first time in 2016! \nROSES: EVERY LADY GETS A ROSE!!! For those gentlemen who join us without a partner\, don’t worry\, we will send you home with a rose so you don’t return home empty handed! Enjoy a fun day with lucky Moms \nIf you want to take a short drive before the show on Saturday\, meet up in Waikoloa at Queen’s Marketplace\, back parking lot\, at 9:00 AM and enjoy a short drive to Old Kona Airport for the fund raiser and Car Show starting at 11 until 7\, with food\, fun\, music and lots of beautiful cars and people. More details forthcoming. Spend a day there with friends and family\, wear sunscreen and a hat\, and shine your Porsche to enter the display and win a trophy! We are supporting this event by sponsoring a HUGE trophy for the BEST EUROPEAN CAR! \nWe should be leaving Waikoloa around 9:30\, arriving at Old Airport around 10\, in time to set up in the European Car Area. \nThis fund raising event started out to help a young lady from Kona as she battles brain cancer. Unfortunately she succumbed to the disease just last week\, and now the family needs help covering the mountain of medical bills from her battle. Please help their effort by donating to their cause.
