DESCRIPTION:Aloha Big Island Hawaii Porsche Club members! \nBIH’s annual “September to Remember” driving tour this year\, we will start at the Waikoloa Village east parking lot as usual. The tour and sign in will start at 11:00AM.  We are planning to do a short tour starting at the South East parking lot near the grocery store area and head East to Mauna Kea state park via Mamalahoa hwy and the Ranch Road. After a personal break at Gilbert Kahaele Recreation Area\, formerly (Mauna Kea State Park)\, we will be headed west toward the Mamalahoa highway on the Daniel K Inouye (Saddle Road) to The Puu lani Ranch clubhouse.

Join us at the Monterey Pines Golf Course to see a breathtaking array of Porsches\, from rare to current models\, and everything in between! \nYou are not required to be a PCA member to participate in this celebration of Porsche automobiles; however\, you must register to Corral or be Judged. Display your cherished car in model-specific Porsche Corrals\, or enter the Porsche Judged Field and compete to win in more than 20 prize categories. \nWerks Reunion was created by the Porsche Club of America as an event to celebrate both the Porsche marque as well as the camaraderie of being an enthusiast. This is not a contest of who has removed dust from the deepest crevices in their Porsche but rather a judged show that rewards a Porsche that has been lovingly maintained and presents itself well on the field. Our judges do not use Porsche Parade Concours score sheets but rather rank the cars according to certain attributes discussed prior to judging. For those who do not wish to have their cars judged\, you may display in the model specific corrals or if the organizers see fit\, on the judged field itself. There are no score sheets returned or protest committees. This is a casual gathering of Porsche enthusiasts focused on having fun rather than solely competition.

DESCRIPTION:Time to honor our Sweethearts with BIH’s February Driving Tour! — This year\, our Sweetheart Run falls on Valentine’s Day! As an extra special event\, we have invited and will be joined by members of the Hawaii Region\, coming over from the other islands to join in our special day! In addition\, our Zone Rep\, Gary Glover\, will be attending from Canada! \nWHERE and WHEN: We will gather once more beneath the beautiful\, blooming cherry tree blossoms at Church Row in Waimea and have our Safety Meeting\, sign the insurance waiver\, and then proceed Eastward out of town around 10:30 on Mamalahoa Highway past Honokaa on the Hamakua Coast\, Highway 19\, turning down to Laupahoehoe Point for a rest stop at the harbor by the boat ramp for some photo ops\, before continuing on the highway to our destination in Hilo\, overlooking Hilo Bay at the Hilo Bay Cafe on Banyan Drive around 12:30. \nLUNCH: It is important that we get a good count of people joining us at the restaurant so we can reserve the proper amount of space for our group. \nThis is a Multi Region\, Two-Activity Event for the 2 Hawaii Regions. It is actually the 11th time we have held this event\, since the first time in 2016! \nROSES: EVERY LADY GETS A ROSE!!! For those gentlemen who join us without a partner\, don’t worry\, we will send you home with a rose so you don’t return home empty handed! DESCRIPTION:Tech Tactics is a day dedicated to Porsche technical information. This event is for all Porsche enthusiasts\, from the casual information gatherer to the everyday Porsche mechanic. Get the latest news directly from the source. Topics range from balancing carburetors to understanding how the new hybrid systems work. \nThe event was born in 1980 in the heart of Zone One at the Harley Hotel north of Hartford\, CT. It quickly outgrew the facility and moved to the Springfield Sheraton\, where it resided for over twenty years. By the 1990’s it was the premier technical weekend for PCA with some renowned speakers\, such as Norbert Singer\, Phil Hill\, Derek Bell\, and Brian Redman. \nIn 2011\, Tech Tactics became a PCA National Event and was hosted at the PCNA Training facility in Easton\, PA. Later that year\, PCA hosted the west coast version in the same type of facility. This facility has been the perfect home for this “hands-on “type of event. This facility is used to train Porsche technicians on the intricacies of new Porsches while at the same time providing valuable training on the Porsches of old. It is equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms with lifts and drivetrain assemblies\, which will be available for our event. We are excited that we will once again be hosting Tech Tactics East at the Porsche Training Facility in February 2025. \nTech Tactics East is limited to 125 entrants each day of the event. The day consists of lectures by PCNA Field Specialists\, PAG Project Managers\, members of the PCA Technical Committee\, and representatives from other companies such as Michelin\, LN Engineering\, Total Seal\, and Griots Garage. \nAll attendees must be pre-registered.
