Our next Driving Tour will be our annual event, the Circle Island Tour, and it happens on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, May 8th.
We will start and end at the Old Kona Airport at 10, leaving around 10:30 to do a loop around the island that will take all day, about 7 hours, so be prepared to treat Mom right and have some cruising fun!
Heading South from Kona, we will stop for lunch in Na’alehu on the first leg. This is a lengthy drive, about an hour and a half, so stretch your legs near South Point and treat Mom to lunch around noon. Taking off after 1, next rest stop is in Volcano at the Park. Details and park entry information will be forthcoming. After a rest stop at the park, we will proceed to Hilo and stop there. Next leg will be from Hilo up the Saddle to Mauna Kea Park, where we can stretch our legs and use the rest rooms to prepare for the final leg back to Old Kona Airport!
Have fun and let Mark Senft, Tour Director, know who is coming so that the restaurant can be prepared and we can have the proper equipment.
