We help the Hawaii Food bank Big Island Hawaii

August 8th, the second Saturday in August, we will start our monthly Tour in Hilo at the Starbucks parking lot behind Prince Kuhio Mall at 10:00. The Parade of Porsches! Shine ’em up!

We will be joined by representatives of the Food Basket of Hawaii, for whom your club is donating $1,000 IMMEDIATELY to help feed the needy people of our island. Their needs are great, and if you go to their website you will see the impact they are having on our community during this crazy time.
The club will donate additional funds to them AT THIS EVENT that we collect in the mean time, AND MATCH YOUR DONATION, DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, UP TO $750 IN MATCHING DONATIONS!!!

Unprecedented times require unprecedented action! Your PCA Big Island Hawaii Club is taking action.

Open your hearts and wallets and donate whatever you can to this opportunity to help our community. There are NO PHYSICAL FOOD DONATIONS THAT CAN BE MADE AT THIS TIME. FOOD BASKET WILL PURCHASE SEALED CASES OF FOOD FROM VENDORS TO DISTRIBUTE. THEY CANNOT ACCEPT LOOSE FOOD DONATIONS AT THIS TIME.

Once we have made our donation and done our due diligence like signing waivers, we will continue our Parade through Hilo town, and proceed up The Saddle Road to Mauna Kea Park, where there are restrooms and fresh air!

Continuing on the Daniel K Inouye Highway down hill via Waiki’i Ranch Road to Mamalahoa Highway, we will turn South towards Kona and assemble again at the Old Airport. Once reassembled and using rest facilities, we will proceed on Kuakini Highway to Ali’i Drive, and finish where Parades typically finish in Kona in front of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
There are no lunch plans at this time, so you are on your own to enjoy the many restaurant facilities now open in Kona Town. Should something be made available for our group before then, details will be disseminated to our group.

Let’s have a splendid day and show our fellow Big Islanders what a wonderful and generous club we are!
